FAQ
Q. Are you multi - destination transfer agents ?
A. No, Menorca Airport Transfers are based in the Balearic Islands
(of Majorca, Menorca , Ibiza) and are fully licensed by the Balearic
Tourism Council. We are full members of AVIBA (Spanish ABTA).
We are not multi destination agents operating from offices far
away from the Balearic Islands, demanding payment up-front, then
passing transfer work onto local agents. Important details such
as flight delays, change in passenger numbers, last minute hotel
changes and location changes we can deal with instantly as we
are here.
Q. Can I change transfer details after making the initial
booking?
A. We are happy to change any details of your transfers up to
24 hours before arrivals. Just an email to us with your new transfer
details is all that is required.
Q. How do we pay for transfers?
A. Payment for transfers can either be made in advance by credit
card, or by euro cash paid directly to the driver who does the
first service.
Q. Where are we met in Mahon airport?
A. After collecting your luggage make your way to luggage belt number 6 inside the baggage reclaim area. In front of belt 6 you will see 2 sliding doors. Go through these and you will see in front of you, to the left, the tourist information desk. Our client reception desk is the third office to the right of this office, named “CENTRAL DE RESERVAS NORBUS TORRES”.
Q. We are staying in a private villa in a secluded location,
is that a problem?
A. No, many of the private villas we transfer passengers to are
in ' out of the way ' locations. However, we do ask for a mobile
telephone number so our transfer control office can confirm departure
details and villa location with you a couple of days before return.
Villa rental companies often will not release addresses and
directions to private villas/ apartments until 2 weeks before
arrival, but it is very important that we receive these details
at least a week before your arrival in Menorca. Many of the villas
in Menorca are in places that are difficult to reach and we need
time to check them out to ensure the size of vehicle you need
can actually get up to your holiday home. Also, normally you receive
the directions in English and we must translate them for our drivers.
Q. Are there any extra charges not in the quoted transfer
price?
A. All prices quoted are fully inclusive for passengers with
2 pieces of normal luggage each. There may be extra charges for
child seats, golf equipment and cycle bags / boxes. Details available
on request. Please note there is no extra charge for early morning,
weekend, bank holiday or fiesta days airport pick ups. Nor do
we have varying rates between hours of the day or charge a late
arrival waiting fee when flights are delayed.
Q. What happens if my flight gets delayed?
A. All incoming flights are monitored for any delays to ensure
pre-booked transfer vehicles are always waiting. There is no charge
for delayed flight waiting times.
Q. Can I organise return transfers when in Menorca?
A. All transfer passengers are provided with contact telephone
numbers to book returns transfers or change return details when
here. However, if you have the return details at time of booking
arrival transfers it is better to reserve return transfers then
Q. Do I need to confirm my return pre-booked transfer?
A. Although your return booking is in our system, please confirm
the return with our office (not with the arrivals driver), either
by telephone or email, at least 24 hours before, to ensure we
have all the correct details. You can do so either by email, fax
or telephone.
Q. Will I get the kind of vehicle as shown in the photo on the booking page?
The photos shown are examples of vehicles to give an idea of the kind available for each group size but the actual vehicle used could well differ from those shown. We reserve the right, to send a vehicle larger than that booked depending on the circumstances at the time of the service.
Q. On my arrival at Mahón airport will I have to wait for my vehicle?
Although we do our utmost to ensure your vehicle is waiting for you, and usually it is, there could be occasions, due to the size of Menorca and the transport limitations that it has, especially in the middle of the summer at peak periods, when you may have a short wait.
